Taybeti Notesharing

Total privacy. Total security. Total you.

Taybeti means private, personal, and exclusive in Kurdish — and that's exactly what this app delivers. Built from the ground up for those who refuse to compromise on privacy. Every note is encrypted with its own key. No cloud, no tracking, no backdoors. Open source. Free forever. View the code on GitHub.

Why Taybeti Cannot Exist on iOS

Apple's restrictions make genuine privacy impossible on iOS. These are not missing features — Apple actively prevents developers from securing your data:

  • Custom keyboard: Apple severely restricts third-party keyboards. Your passphrases still pass through the system keyboard, visible to Apple's input method.
  • App disguise: iOS has no activity aliases. You cannot change the app icon or name at runtime — your encrypted notes app is always visible.
  • Screen overlay detection: Apple provides no API to detect other apps drawing over yours. A malicious app can silently record your screen.
  • Root/jailbreak detection: Different and weaker than Android. Apple's walled garden gives you fewer tools to verify your device's integrity.
  • App signature checks: iOS uses a different signing model. Verifying that your APK hasn't been tampered with is not portable.
Your privacy deserves better. Apple's walled garden is not designed for you — it's designed for Apple. If you care about real privacy, this is your sign to leave.

🔐 Independent Per‑Note Encryption

No master key exists. Every note is encrypted with its own AES‑256‑GCM key derived from your passphrase. Cracking one reveals nothing about the others.

AES‑256‑GCM is the encryption standard used by governments and banks. Per‑note keys mean each note has its own independent password — unlike apps that use one master key where breaking it exposes everything. Derived from your passphrase means the key is created mathematically from what you type, never stored anywhere.

📵 Zero Internet Access — By Design

The app has no internet permission. It cannot connect, cannot sync, cannot phone home. Your data physically cannot leave your device — by architecture, not policy.

Android apps must declare permissions in their manifest. Taybeti declares zero network permissions — no INTERNET, no ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. The operating system itself prevents any network connection. This isn't a promise — it's enforced by Android's sandbox. Architecture vs policy: a policy can change tomorrow; architecture cannot be bypassed without rebuilding the app.

⌨️ Custom Keyboard — Blocks System Keyloggers

Gboard, SwiftKey, and iOS keyboards record keystrokes for analytics. Ours isolates every character from the system. Your passphrase never touches a third‑party keyboard.

When you type in any normal app, your characters first go through the Input Method Editor (IME) — the system keyboard. Google's Gboard and Microsoft's SwiftKey both send typing data to their servers for "personalization." Taybeti's keyboard runs inside the app's own process, completely bypassing the system IME. No keystroke ever leaves the app's memory space.

⚖️ No Company Can Subpoena Your Data

Cloud services hand over your data when ordered by courts. We have nothing to hand over — your notes don't exist on any server. They physically cannot comply with a subpoena for data they never held.

When you use Google Keep, Apple Notes, Evernote, or any cloud‑connected note app, your data lives on their servers. Under laws like the CLOUD Act (USA), GDPR (EU), or local court orders, companies must hand over stored data. Taybeti has zero servers. Zero cloud. Zero data to subpoena. The only copy of your notes exists on your device. Even if every government in the world demanded your data — there is nothing to give them.

🌍 Works Everywhere — No Internet Needed

Airport security. Protests. Remote areas. Border crossings. Anywhere a network might be monitored or unavailable — the app works fully offline. No connection, no vulnerability.

Taybeti runs entirely locally. All encryption, decryption, note creation, and editing happens on‑device with zero network dependency. This means: Airports — no WiFi needed to access your notes. Protests — authorities can't intercept your writing. Border crossings — device searches won't reveal cloud connections because there are none. Remote areas — full functionality anywhere. The app is as functional at the top of a mountain as in a coffee shop.

🤫 Even We Cannot Read Your Notes

Zero‑knowledge architecture. Your encryption key is derived from your passphrase — which we never see, never store, and never transmit. Not even the developer can decrypt your notes.

This is the fundamental difference: zero‑knowledge means the server (or app developer) has zero ability to access your data. Your encryption key is mathematically derived from your passphrase using Argon2id key derivation — the passphrase itself is never stored anywhere. If you lose your passphrase, nobody can help you recover it — not even us. This isn't poor design; it's the proof that we have no backdoor. If we could recover your notes, so could an attacker or a government.

🖨️ Gre Cards — Offline Secret Exchange

Print physical passphrase cards with embedded QR codes. Share secrets on paper — no digital trail. Cut, split, and each person keeps their half. Build yours →

Every digital channel — SMS, email, messaging apps, cloud links — creates a permanent record that can be logged, intercepted, or subpoenaed. Gre Cards bypass this entirely: print cards on paper, hand‑write your shared passphrase, cut the card in half, and physically hand one piece to the other person. The QR code on the back leads them to the app. No server. No log. No subpoenable record. Paper has been securing secrets for millennia — and it still works.

🎨 Rich Editor — Without Sacrificing Security

Drawing tools, shapes, image layers, tables, and templates — all rendered inside an encrypted environment. Creativity doesn't have to be exposed.

Most secure note apps offer plain text only. Taybeti includes a full rich text editor with drawing panel, shapes, image placement (behind/in‑front/integrated), table support, and page templates — all rendered and stored inside the encrypted note. The encryption wraps the entire document, not just the text. You don't have to choose between creativity and privacy.

💯 Free. No Ads. No Telemetry.

No revenue comes from your data. No usage tracking. No analytics SDKs. The only incentive is building something genuinely private.

The app contains zero analytics libraries — no Firebase, no Google Analytics, no Crashlytics, no Mixpanel. There is no server to send data to even if we wanted to (there's no internet permission). The app makes no money from you. It's fully open source and community‑supported. The business model is simple: your privacy is the product.
